About Lisa Nolan the 3-9 Montessori Trained Teacher

They grow up soooooo fast! (My son at 18 months!)

Hi! I am Lisa Nolan, the trained and certified Montessori teacher with over 30 years of experience. I've taught Montessori in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986. I took my Montessori primary training in 1986 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco with the late headmistress, Ursula Thrush. I took my Montessori elementary (6-9) training in 1988 at The Maria Montessori School of the Golden Gate in San Francisco (with the late head mistress Ursula Thrush) through the University Extension, University of California Berkeley. I received an MA from San Francisco State University in English Literature and Creative Writing.

I am also a Montessori homeschool consultant, a webmaster, a blogger, a writer, a podcaster, a stay-at-home work-at-home mom, and a semi-retired indie publisher. I guess you can call me a one-mom operation! When you sign up and become a paying member to my Montessori website, you are putting food on my families table, literally! For that I am soooo grateful!

Topics and subjects I LOVE to cover--on my private blog and in my private podcast (audio files)--are child art development; child brain development; early literacy and reading; Erdkinder (farm school); nature school, forest school, and the outdoors; reading and writing challenges in older children; autism, dyslexia, and SPD; loose parts and tinkering (TBA); and Montessori and Waldorf education.
